Ps 39 C D Defuccio Elementary School Alumni - Jersey City, NJ

I graduated in 1971 and have nothing but great memories of the school, its staff, Teachers, and most of all , ALL the great kids I went to school with. Most of us grew up in the projects and the local streets and we just had great times there. The school yard was vacant of trailers and we would play tag, punchball, flysup and other games before we had to LINEUP and march into school after lunch, and in the morning.It was just a great school Mrs Robinson was trhe music teacher along with Mrs Fischer, Mr Hopskins was the shop teacher ALWAYS had that strap close by JUST IN CASE and was always building that boat. Miss Black was the beautiful ,statuesque , girls gym teacher and Mr Gibbons was the boys gym teacher just great. God Bless all of them and Thankyou for teaching me a lot of things that I still apply to this day and have passed down to my kids and now Grand Kids.
