Class of 1937
Army, 20+ Years

After enrolling at the CCC's in Vale OR, he came back and graduted high school, in May 1937. Then he enlisted to a 28-year career in the U.S. Army in the 11th Combat Engineers. He served in WWII, Korea, as an advisor in Saigon in 1959, and as a comptroller and liaison to the Greek Army just before retiring with the rank of Major in Dec. 1964. He was awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the 5th highest peacetime award. He is now 90 years old.
