Served in the U.S. Navy from 30 December 1960 through 31 January 1982. During this time I was deployed to the Vietnam War Zone on three different Navy Ships. Deployed to Saigon, Vietnam onboard USS PIEDMONT (AD-17) from November 1964 to December 1964 (this was the beginning of the Vietnam War). Served in the Vietnam Combat Zone
as follows:
Onboard the USS ORISKANY (CVA-34) from 13 May 1971 - 18 December 1971.
Onboard USS SAN BERNARDINO (LST-1189) from 2 June 1972 through 29 April 1973.
