Served most of my career as an Aerospace Control and Warning Operator, aka an Air Defense Radar Operator. My last five years in the military I served in Space Operations career field. Basically I tracked satellites and monitored for submarine balistic missile launches. I entered the Air Force in October 1969 and retired August 1991.

Navy Medic, met and married a career Navy medic, had 3 children (one retired Navy son and one daughter who's a nurse), 4 grandsons (one Navy, one Army who is in Korea now) and one granddaughter, and one great-grandson! Hubby is a retired Navy medic, serving with the Marines most of his career, with service in Viet Nam and now dealing with Agent Orange issues. But we're both, still, happy to have served!

Served in WWII from 8/43 - 6/46. Seventeen months and sixteen days, on Guam, but who was counting? Stayed in Naval Reserve for a total of 42 years. Retired as Master Chief Personnelman, (E-9) Married to Barbara, who retired as Chief Storekeeper (E-7)

Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Grandview Heights High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
