Class of 1968
Navy, 20+ Years
Navy Corpsman and enlisted laboratory technologist and instructor 1973 to 1978. Commissioned in 1978 in Medical Service Corps as Laboratory Officer until 1996 when he retired as a LCDR. Duties included general laboratory officer, laboratory computer systems officer, blood bank supervisor, instructor duty for 7 years in Navy Physicians Assistant Program, Laboratory Technician School, & Independent Duty Corpman program, also acting head of Advanced Technical Schools for 6 months. Was assistant director laboratory medicine department and director laboratory medicine department. Duty stations included San Diego Naval Hospital, National Naval Medical Center (Washington DC), Naval School of Health Sciences San Diego, Guam, Twentnine Palms, Ca, and deployments / temporary duty assignments in Korea, Portsmouth, VA, Camp Pendleton, CA, Fort Sam Houston, TX, Persian Gulf, and 7th Fleet for short time periods.
