Steve Parker (1974 Ponderosa Alumni) and I married and enlisted in 1976 on a delayed entry program. We were married on June 6, 1976 and reported to boot camp two weeks later. My basic training and AIT was at Fort Jackson, S.C. His basic was at Fort Leonard Wood, MI and his AIT was at Fort Sam Houston, TX. In November 1976 we were flown to Heidelberg, Germany as new members of the 130th Station Hospital. We completed our tour of duty in June 1979 and returned to Sacramento, CA
