Class of 1962
Air Force, 11 Years
After getting my degree at Ft. Hays.state(1967). I went to OCS and was awarded 2nd Lt status.Attended USAF Pilot training for 1 year. Was first assigned to C-130's at Forbes AFB, Topeka for 2 years. Next assignment lasted 18 Months in SE Asia. Next came Abilene,TX for 3 yrs as a Wing Flight safety officer. My last assignment was as Instructor Squadron Commander at Biloxi.Ms. During this time I was lucky enough to see most of the world. I resigned my Commission as Captain in 1977 and went to work in Management for General Foods Corp,Kraft foods Corp and Phillip Morris Corp and their many subsideraries. Retired in 1990 and moved back to Salina and started a ranching operation.

During this period spent time in Japan, accompanied by wife and eldest son. Also in Puerto Rico with wife, eldest son, and daughter. Also spent time on Iwo Jima and England. Am still retired, in good health and hope to be around a few more years.
